Biography

Follow along for a front-row seat to the amazing creations of this shy yet brilliant, half Italian half Belgian, painter.

Julien Bouillon (b. 1971) lives and works in Paris, FR. he received his M.F.A. from the ENSA Villa Arson, Nice, in 1998. His work has been exhibited at Rod Barton, London and in some recents exhibition at Camera Club in New York, NY. Le Bleu de la nuit, CCA Andratx, Mallorca – Spain, Run Run Run, Villa Arson, Nice and Costermongering, London. Julien Bouillon’s works also could be seen in Modern Painters – 25 artists to watch Blouin Art Info and Atelier A, Arte Creative.

Julien Bouillon worked in recent years to hijack a number of standard formats (paintings, magazines, etc.) to produce specific objects. His work has developed on the basis of a multimedia approach and a permanent interest for painting. In his book «Against Method» Paul Feyerabend defended the idea that there are no immutable methodological rules that scientists should always be used, and which would ensure beyond doubt the validity of their research. According to him, a «dose» of methodological anarchism could only be beneficial to science. That’s what Julien Bouillon aspire for Art
